Barangay Chabot

Barangay Chabot provides a space where Chabot Students can learn about Filipino roots, culture, history, and heritage. We say "Barangay" because we want to build a sense of community among Filipinos and other community members on and off campus. We are here to share our family migration stories from the Philippines while continuing to learn about current issues impacting Filipinos all across the world and within the Bay Area.

Association of China

We aim to share and celebrate Chinese traditional culture with those interested in learning more about it through various events and workshops. By organizing cultural events and discussions, we strive to facilitate meaningful cultural exchanges and learning within the community. Also, we aim to create a community for American Chinese students to collaborate together in terms of language and cultural barriers.

Founded by college students, for college students, the Crochet Club of Chabot College strives to emphasize the negative impacts of fast fashion within our daily wardrobe. To inform people about the misinformation that is spreading regarding muslims around the world. The organization hopes to create a comfortable enviroment for both muslims and non-muslims to express any concerns regarding misinformation about the beliefs of muslims. My Sister's Keeper

My Sister's Keeper (MSK) is a leadership development/support group for young African-American Queens. We are a sisterhood of educated women that meets weekly in a loving space, to inspire, empower and encourage Black women to recognize their individual and unique differences; while appreciating commonalities that create a sisterhood and lifelong bonds.

The objective of our weekly meetings is to equip our members with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need so they can exemplify and act like Queens and Women of Excellence.

Our aim is to develop and strengthen how we demonstrate love for ourselves, our sisters, and others.

To build a safe space community with like-minded people and develop opportunities that one would not find in a classroom setting. Vietnamese Student Association

 

After nearly a decade of hiatus, we’re driven to revive our Vietnamese community and reestablish VSA here at Chabot College. We strive to build connections with those who share the same Vietnamese ethnic backgrounds, and also those who aren’t Vietnamese themselves but share an interest and passion for the culture. Our biweekly meetings will provide a space for cultural learning, engagement, and bonding with educational slideshows, exciting hands-on activities, and delicious potluck food! All is welcome!
