CVC Exchange

Looking for more online classes? Learn about Chabot's partnership with the California Virtual Campus (CVC) Exchange.

What Is the CVC Exchange?

The CVC Exchange helps California Community College students easily find and register for high-quality fully online courses across our system. Students who can't find an online course they need at their home college can use the CVC Exchange to seamlessly enroll in online courses at participating teaching colleges. Colleges work together to streamline the process and minimize costs for students.

As a CVC Exchange student, some services will be available only through your home college, while others can be accessed at teaching colleges as well. Here's how to navigate student services depending on your student type.

You will receive counseling services, including student educational planning (SEP), through your home college. Counseling resources can typically be found on your college’s website or Canvas Support Hub.

Don't forget to check in with your counselor to make sure courses you register for through the CVC Exchange align with your education plan!

Accommodations from your home college do not automatically transfer to courses taken at teaching colleges through the CVC Exchange. To ensure support, please apply for services here at Chabot's DSPS (Disabled Students Resource Center).

Courses taken through the CVC Exchange can typically be used to help calculate your financial aid. Eligibility and payments are processed through your home college. Learn more at:

Good news! At the end of each term, teaching colleges automatically send an electronic transcript to your home college to confirm your completed courses. However, you may still need to order an official Chabot transcript for certain situations, such as transferring to a university.
