    The CVC-OEI represents a comprehensive and collaborative program that leverages effective practices and technology to significantly increase the opportunity for higher education degree attainment in California.

  • The Online Network of Educators
    @One provides training and professional development to support the effective use of digital tools and platforms for online teaching and learning.

  • The Vision Resource Center
    Formerly Professional Learning Network and Lynda.com, the VRC offers free resources to California Community College faculty, staff, administrators and trustees. Participate in online learning and join communities of practice around the concepts and skills necessary to ensure our students and our colleges achieve their full potential.

Sharing Resources - Canvas Commons

Canvas Commons makes it easy to share your Canvas course or other resources with other faculty. Shared resources can be made available to all CLPCCD faculty or to just a select group of faculty at Chabot.

Canvas Training - Online

  • Canvas Overview (6 minutes)

  • Canvas: First Look (30 minutes)
    • Introduction to the Canvas environment, login procedure, and global navigation.
    • Explore account setup, personal preferences, and communication tools, such as the Inbox and Calendar.
    • Learn about other support options available to each Canvas user.

  • Canvas: Course Basics (1 hour)
    • Overview of the layout and features in a Canvas course.
    • Learn about the Course Navigation Menu and individual components for delivering content and assessing student performance.
