Information Regarding Transferring College Credit and/or Joint Service Transcripts:

Veteran students are notified of the option to transfer prior credits from other colleges or use their JSTs during orientation, counseling appointments and their last term. If a veteran student would like to utilize this option, they will need to bring unofficial copies of all college transcripts or JSTs to be reviewed during their counseling appointment.

During their counseling appointment, the counselor will make recommendations on what classes are still needed and will conduct an unofficial evaluation using the transcripts provided by the student.

Once the counseling appointment is complete, the student will need to request all official transcripts be sent to Chabot College's Admissions & Records Department. Additionally, after the student completed 6 units at Chabot and they are enrolled in at least 6 units in the current semester, they can complete an Incoming Evaluation Request Form to have their transcripts officially evaluated by the Admisssions and Records Department.

Lastly, during their final term at Chabot College, when filling out the Degree Request Form, there is a section on the form where the student can list all colleges they have attended, and what credit(s), if any, they want to utilize to grant their degree/certificate.
