IMPORTANT: Write down your confirmation # and W# and put it somewhere safe. You will need it for the IDE Adobe Form in step 4.

Students must identify the courses from the Chabot College class schedule that best fits their availability. Students will need the course name, Course Registration Number (CRN), and number of units.

Restrictions:

  • Students can take any course except Physical Education (PE) or basic skills courses.

Regulations on choosing Courses:

  • While students can take any course, some courses, such as Math or Science, can fill up quickly. Class seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • If the course needs a prerequisite, that prerequisite needs to be completed before taking the course.
  • Some courses require an assessment. For more information, please visit the Assessment Center.
  • Chabot College's Admissions and Records (A&R) will not accept forms that request courses where the students have not met the requirements.

Tips on Identifying Courses:

If you intend to take any Math, English, or Chemistry classes or any classes with a prerequisite in Math or English, visit the Assessment Center website for instructions.

Complete and submit the IDE enrollment form.

If you need help completing the Individual Dual Enrollment Form or finding your W#:

Once all parties sign the IDE enrollment form, the Chabot College staff will review the form and your Chabot College application. Chabot College will email to you your admission status. If approved, you will be assigned a registration date.

Forms that have the following errors will NOT be approved:

  • Wrong semester date on either the Chabot College Application or IDE enrollment form (Ex: Course is for SPRING 2024, Student applied for SUMMER 2024 on the Chabot College application or IDE enrollment form).
  • IDE enrollment forms that request Physical Education (PE) or Basic Skill courses will be rejected.
  • The IDE enrollment form has the wrong parent/guardian emails and/or counselor emails .
    • Note: If you input the wrong participant emails, you must redo the form.
  • You will receive an email informing you that you are ready to register on CLASS-Web/MyPortal.
  • Please register on the registration date in your email. Some classes are very popular and can be difficult for high school students to enroll in.
  • If you do not get both your parents/guardian and counselor’s signature on the IDE enrollment form, it will not be approved.
    • Note: If there are any spelling errors, students must redo the form.
