Dual Enrollment Summer Academy

Summer Academy is a dual enrollment opportunity for high schoolers to start college early, take tuition-free college courses, and build academic confidence! Summer Academy classes are open only to high schoolers. 

BENEFITS

  • Earn College Credit: Students get a head start on college by earning college credit while they're in high school, completing college requirements, and possibly finishing college faster. 
     
  • Save Money on Tuition: Dual Enrollment classes are tuition-free and can help reduce the overall cost of college.
     
  • Explore Careers: Students can explore various careers and majors that help them think about their future.

Steps to Enroll to Summer Academy

Submit the Summer Academy Interest Form

New Students: Create an account on CCCApply and apply to the semester

  • Click “Create an Account.”
  • Account creation is permanent. Please use a personal email or phone number.
  • Apply to Chabot College for the term you plan to enroll in CCAP-DE classes.
  • Complete the application. Screenshot the confirmation page with both confirmation number and CCCID. Please email the screenshot to your site lead and cc-earlycollege@chabotcollege.edu. 
  • You will receive a welcome email with your Student ID (W#) after 24 to 48 hours. 


Returning Students: Sign in CCCApply and apply for semester

  • Click blue “Sign In” button at CCCApply.
  • If you forgot your password, please select “Forgot your password?” and follow the steps on the screen to recover your account. 
  • If you lost access to the email or if you have any difficulties recovering your password, please call the help desk (877) 247-4836 to recover your account. 
  • Under “My Applications,” click the blue “Start a New Application” button.
  • Select the term you plan to take a CCAP-DE class.
  • Complete the application. Screenshot the confirmation page with both confirmation number and CCCID. Please email the screenshot to your site lead and cc-earlycollege@chabotcollege.edu. 

 

New Students: Create a DualEnroll.com Account

  • Click on “Create My DualEnroll Account”
  • Select your high school from the drop-down menu.
  • If your high school is not listed, select “Other – School Not Listed”
  • All sections with a * symbol are required.
  • Fill out all sections under “Application Steps”
  • Use Personal email and Phone Number
  • After “High School” Step and completing profile, see “STEP 4” (NOTE: Do Not Do Step 4 until Summer Academy courses are ready)

Returning Summer Academy 2025 or CCAP Students: Log into DualEnroll.com Account

  • Enter username and password
  • You can use Forgot username or password link if needed.

  • Once logged in, go to “STEP 4”(NOTE: Do Not Do Step 4 until Summer Academy courses are ready)

Submit Request for Summer Academy Courses (Ready in April 26) 

DO NOT CHOOSE ANY CLASSES. Summer Academy class are not available yet. 


MODALITY

  • ASYNC (Asynchronous): No class meetup times. All class work is done online at the pace set by the instructor. 
  • HYBRID: A mix of online classes and in-person classes. 
  • Online-Combo: Classes are part Online Asynchronous, with some class sessions meeting live on Zoom (via Canvas).
