Jamilya Ukudeeva has been with Chabot College since 2014 teaching U.S. Government, International Relations, and Comparative Politics. In 2003 she earned PhD degree in the field of Comparative Politics from the University of California, Riverside. She also holds two BA degrees in linguistics and piano. Jamilya Ukudeeva lives with her family in the East Bay area.

Dr. Jessica Gallucci is the Department Chair and Full Time Instructor of Political Science at Chabot College. Dr. Gallucci holds a bachelor’s degree with dual majors in Political Science and Italian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Cambridge, and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Dr. Gallucci has taught Political Science full time since 2003, and worked in political advocacy before teaching.

John Fortuna, PhD

As an undergraduate Dr. Fortuna was a double major in Government and Philosophy at CSU Sacramento, and he received his Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Political Science—with a specialization in political theory—from UC Santa Barbara. After high school, but prior to college, he spent four years in the United States Navy as a sonar technician. Dr. Fortuna has taught introductory courses in political theory and American politics at Chabot College since 2012. Outside the classroom he enjoys following sports (football and basketball), spending time with his family, and exploring California’s growing wine and beer scene.
