Jamilya Ukudeeva has been with Chabot College since 2014 teaching U.S. Government, International Relations, and Comparative Politics. In 2003 she earned PhD degree in the field of Comparative Politics from the University of California, Riverside. She also holds two BA degrees in linguistics and piano. Jamilya Ukudeeva lives with her family in the East Bay area.

Dr. Jessica Gallucci holds a bachelor’s degree with dual majors in Political Science and Italian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Cambridge and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. Dr. Gallucci has taught Political Science at Chabot College since 2014, and serves as chair of the discipline. Before joining the faculty at Chabot College she taught at City College of San Francisco for 12 years. Before teaching Dr. Gallucci worked in political advocacy.

John Fortuna, PhD

As an undergraduate Dr. Fortuna was a double major in Government and Philosophy at CSU Sacramento, and he received his Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Political Science—with a specialization in political theory—from UC Santa Barbara. After high school, but prior to college, he spent four years in the United States Navy as a sonar technician. Dr. Fortuna has taught introductory courses in political theory and American politics at Chabot College since 2012. Outside the classroom he enjoys following sports (football and basketball), spending time with his family, and exploring California’s growing wine and beer scene.


Ross Parker

Ross Parker has been teaching part-time at Chabot College since 2016. He holds a bachelor's degree from UC Davis in Political Science and Organizational Studies, a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware, and a teaching credential from The John's Hopkins University. He has been working in education for 17 years. Ross loves to travel the world with his family. He lives in the East Bay where he coaches little league and roots on the Giants, Niners, and Warriors.
