LGBTQ+ Point of Contact
Per AB 620 and SB 1491, the governing board of each community college district shall designate an employee at each of their respective campuses as a point of contact for the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, transgender, gender-nonconforming, intersex, and two-spirit faculty, staff, and students at the respective campus. The LGBTQ+ point of contact is designated to offer guidance to address issues, concerns and needs of LGBTQ+ campus community. This person does not take the place of the Title IX officer but can support in guiding interested parties in making Title IX reports.

Mental Health Services
All mental health counseling services are CONFIDENTIAL and included as part of your student health fee. To receive services, you must be currently enrolled at Chabot College. Visit the Mental Health Services page for more information.
Chosen Name FAQ
The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District recognizes that some students may use first names other than their legal names to identify themselves. Thus, Chabot College students may use a chosen first name on class rosters and schedules and in certain online systems including Canvas, MyPortal, DegreeWorks, and SARS. All-Gender Restrooms on Campus
Locations of all-gender restrooms on campus:
- Building 600 – One restroom located on every floor
- Building 700 – Located on the first floor across the hallway from the Assessment Center (room 714)
- Building 1100 – Located next to office 1100 and 1102
- Building 1500 – Located outside next to the front entry doors
- Building 2100 – Located on the second floor
- Building 2300 – Located on the second floor next to the Veterans Center (room 2353)
- Building 2400 – Located inside ACE (Accessibility Center for Education)
- Building 3200 – One restroom located on every floor
Gender & Sexualities Alliance (GSA) Student Club
The purpose of this club is to discuss gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues; learn about homophobia; educate the school and community; and out and end discrimination. For more information, contact Club Advisor David Irving.
ChabOUT List
The ChabOUT List was created to offer additional support to Chabot College LGBTQ+ students as well as to aid in bringing visibility to LGBTQ+ identified employees across our campus community. This list is publicly posted for students, other employees, and the general community to have an access point of contact.
