Medical Assisting

Medical Assisting is a healthcare profession that involves supporting doctors and other medical professionals in clinical and administrative tasks, primarily in outpatient or ambulatory care settings like clinics and physician offices. Medical assistants play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities, improving patient care, and allowing physicians to focus more on diagnosis and treatment.

Our Medical Assisting program includes both clinical and administrative medical assisting. At the end of the program, students are required to complete an externship at a medical facility which both fulfills program requirements and helps students prepare for the workforce. Students who successfully complete the program are able to take any national medical assisting credentialing examination.
