Accessibility Statement
Chabot College is committed to ensuring equitable access to education for all students. Students with disabilities are important members of our campus community, and in order to ensure equitable participation, all reasonable accommodations will be made for equitable involvement.
For students with documented disabilities, or if you suspect you might have a disability, and thus require accommodations under the American’s with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), please register with and see a counselor in the Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) office in Building 2400, or make alternative accommodations through the ADA Officer, Vice President of Student Services, Dr. Matthew Kritscher, mkritscher@chabotcollege.edu. The DSPS office or ADA officer determines all appropriate accommodations through the interactive process. The DSPS office can be reached 510-723-6725, or via the DSPS website.
To receive accommodations, students can meet with their instructor during office hours posted on the syllabus to review the student's accommodations form, and to discuss how to best achieve academic success. If students have specialized access needs for course materials, a request must be submitted through the DSPS office. Any specialized alternate format requests are to be made in a timely manner, as conversion can be an involved process.
If students have any functional access limitations, visible or invisible, please discuss potential emergency evacuation needs with their instructor.
