  • Description: Andrea is a passionate and motivated indigenous ecologist, who trained as a natural resource and forestry scientist. She is motivated by envisioning and actualizing a future with resilient landscapes and communities. Andrea's experience spans an array of knowledge including ecology, natural resource management, community-orientated agroecology, wildlife ecology, fire ecology, indigenous science(s) and knowledge(s), community engagement and outreach, femtorship, communication, climate change adaptaion and resilience, and holistic healing.

October Speaker Series: Wastewater Treatment Plant Talk

  • When: Tuesday, October 7th 12PM-1PM
  • Description: Three wastewater plants from our region of the bay are sending representatives to participate on a speaker panel here in the STEM Center! Union Sanitary District (which serves Union City, Fremont and Newark), The City of San Leandro, and City of Hayward representatives will be sharing philosophies, responsibilities, concepts, and practices of wastewater management. The industry covers many areas of STEM, including computer science, chemistry, physics, biology, electronics, engineering, or manufacturing. Major decisions are often made by boards that need voices who make choices using sociology, politics, and communication. It is an industry in which students from many areas of study could find promising careers.
