At PHNX Materials, Jorge reduces the carbon footprint of construction by giving waste a second life. Immigrating from Venezuela, he pursued his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, then his PhD (which he figured how to get for free!) Jorge left academics to start his own business, fusing together science and business. As an entrepreneur, Jorge has started a business, found funding, developed technology, and learned that neither all business, nor all STEM, covers all the work.
