Education Payment Allotment
CalWORKs students receive a books and supplies payment allotment based on the enrolled units per semester. Funds are added to their EBT card or whatever payment is on file with their Employment Counselor.
- 12 units or more = $500 payment allocation
- 11.5 units or less = $250 payment allocation
For Summer semester payment allotments are based on units to determine payment amounts for full-time and part-time status
- Full Summer Session (approx. 12 wks)
- 12+ units/ hours per week – $350
- Less than 12 units/hours per week – $175
- Condensed (anything less than 8)
- $175 Regardless of the # of units
- Full time or Part time
*When required books and supplies are over the standard payment allotment, students can submit receipts for reimbursement with the Book and Supply Verification Form.
**Required items need to be listed on syllabus for reimbursement (example: camera, theatre ticket, PE clothing)
Laptops & Calculator Loaners
Laptops and calculators are available for loan every seemster. Students may also request laptop funds with their employment counselor.
