Report Emergency, Crimes, Suspicious Activities or Safety Hazards

 

 

All members of our campus community share the responsibility of reporting emergencies, crimes, suspicious activities, and safety hazards to help maintain a safe environment for everyone. 

All emergencies including medical incidents, accidents, and catastrophes will be investigated immediately by Campus Safety staff.  

Crimes against persons and violent crimes will initially be investigated by Campus Safety personnel and then referred to the Hayward Police Department. Crimes against property will generally be investigated by a Campus Safety officer will investigate unless the incident involves a substantial loss or theft of a motor vehicle.

Suspicious activities and safety hazards will be promptly investigated by the on-duty Campus Safety officer, who will assign the appropriate resources to address and resolve the incident. Interagency coordination and responsibilities are established pursuant to California Education Code section 67381.
