Flex Days
Spring Flex Day - March 18, 2025
This Flex Day, we won't have a specific theme involving our sessions. However, as
you prepare your workshop proposals, think about how your session will help our community.

Please complete and submit this form for any Flex Day sessions you would like to facilitate. Please note that completion
of this form does not guarantee that you will present during Flex Day. We will respond
ASAP if we can accommodate your proposal on the schedule.
To support campus-wide professional development a Flex Day session is more likely
to be selected if it is focused on developing the whole person, if the session motivates
or engages participants, or provides an opportunity for colleagues to learn from each
other.

What are Flex Days?
Flex Day Obligations for Faculty: Faculty Contract, Article 29B.
Mandatory Flex Days are days set aside for faculty to participate in programmed activities in person and are conducted in lieu of instruction when scheduled at times that classes would normally meet.
Variable Flex Day is a requirement for full-time faculty to complete a specific number of hours (defined in the Faculty Contract) of improvement activities on their own time. See the Activity Proposal Form for a list of allowable activities. Generally, flex activities must be designed to improve your work as a Faculty member, or to improve your contribution to the college. Please return your completed form to your division office.
