FYE Mission

FYE empowers students to follow an effective, intentional academic and career path based on their interests and academic goals, while providing an enriching community network through embracive and individualized support.

FYE Service Area Outcomes

1. Ensure first-year students experience a smooth transition from high school to college, with intentional support in enrolling in core FYE courses and completing the matriculation requirements. 
2. Provide comprehensive support for first-year students through tutoring, peer mentoring, faculty guidance, dedicated counseling and community building.

FYE Values

1. FYE students will successfully complete the matriculation requirements and will navigate campus resources and services confidently

2. FYE students will successfully complete transfer level Math and English courses in their first year

3. FYE students will explore careers and majors, with guided support

4. FYE students will be civically engaged and culturally responsive

5. FYE students will complete a degree or transfer within 3 years, following a path that reduces their time for completion
