Student Equity Office

The Student Equity Office (SEO) seeks to counter barriers to academic and personal success by addressing food and housing insecurity while supporting the immediate academic needs of students that need transportation, parkling, and text book purchaes. Our office seeks to be a transformative change agent in promoting a vibrant campus culture that supports the values of diversity, equity, and social justice. Programmatic efforts aim to be culturally responsive in ways that promote high engagement, amplify student voice, and foster a sense of belonging. Additionally, there is an intentional emphasis in maintaining the “community” aspects of being a community college. This entails leveraging students' strengths, assets, and community supports to effectively negotiate barriers posed by their material and lived realities. The ultimate result is to promote student academic and personal success.
