Finding the Periodical That Has Your Article
|
You are now locating your article inside a certain volume
and issue of the periodical. By taking down the entire
citation, you will save yourself time as you need to know
what volume number or year the article came out.
Also,
take down the page number where the article begins.
Once you find the particular
issue, all you have to do is turn to the page.

When the journal is online in another database or on the
Public World Wide Web*, you will also want to have the
complete citation in front of you. Sometimes you will
need to enter the title of the article into a search form,
but most often, you will be browsing the online journal by
volume number and year. So do yourself a favor
and have a copy of the citation in front of you, because
once you find the journal, you will need this information. |
