Where to Find a Book

Location

When a physical item such as a book or audiovisual material is available, be sure to take notice WHERE it says it is available before locating the item by call number.  The left side will state WHERE in the Library an item is available and if available for check out.  Sometimes you need to select "Show More" to see all the copies of a book.  

For example, Chabot Library has four copies of I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.  Three of the copies' location are in the Stacks, while one is available at the Reserve Desk.  In this example, all copies' status is Available (vs. currently checked out).
