Randy B. Shields, Jr., MSN-CNL, RN, CCRN, is a dedicated healthcare professional and educator with over a decade of critical care nursing experience. As a Registered Nurse specializing in cardiovascular and trauma care, Randy has served diverse patient populations in high-acuity settings across the Bay Area. A passionate advocate for equitable healthcare, Randy's academic interests include addressing racial disparities in specialized clinical settings and fostering the career advancement of underrepresented healthcare professionals. Currently, Randy is a full-time tenure-track faculty member at Chabot College, where he empowers the next generation of nurses through innovative teaching methods and a focus on evidence-based practice. An active leader in professional and community organizations, Randy also contributes to initiatives promoting health equity and professional development in nursing.
