I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. After high school, I attended the University of Nevada, Reno (2004 - 2010). During that time, I earned my B.S. in Material Science & Engineering and an M.S. in Mathematics. During my time in school, I worked in the tutoring center and taught pre-calculus as a Teaching Assistant (T.A.). This is when I fell in love with teaching and pursued a position at a community college. After moving to the Bay Area in 2010, I worked as an adjunct mathematics/engineering instructor for Heald College, CSU East Bay, and Chabot College. In 2015, I was hired full time to teach Engineering here at Chabot. I love working with Chabot students and have found my calling! My focus is to make Chabot Engineering the best program with lots of opportunities both in and outside of the classroom. This includes creating accessible classes, diversity in learning, state of the art labs, exploratory workshops, field trips, guest speakers, and other opportunities.
