My name is Dennis Cambara and I am a DSPS Counselor/Instructor for Chabot Disabled Resource Center. I started at Chabot College in August 2018 after relocating from Southern California (Inland Empire). Prior to Chabot College, I have worked as an Adjunct Counselor for DSPS at Chaffey College, San Bernardino Valley College, and Irvine Valley College. I also worked in the private sector in higher education. I’ve been in higher education for 11 years. I love what I do and am passionate about working with students with disabilities by teaching students about their abilities and using technology to assist them with their goals. I was a community college student (Riverside City College) and I can relate well with students, especially with first generation college students. I have presented on The Differences in Disability Services between K-12 and College at the Inland Empire Disability Collaborative Conference. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, ice hockey, and traveling.
