Bonnie Stipe is a mixed media artist originally from Massillon, Ohio. She attended the University of Akron's Myers School of Art, graduating with a BFA in Painting and Drawing, and a BA in Art Education. Following her interest in the landscape of the southwest, she then relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she received her MFA in Studio Arts from the University of New Mexico. While in New Mexico, Bonnie taught art courses at the University of New Mexico, Central New Mexico Community College, and Albuquerque Academy. Bonnie’s paintings have been shown in galleries throughout the country, including exhibitions at Torrance Art Museum in Los Angeles; Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Buckham Gallery in Flint, Michigan; Summit Artspace, in Akron, Ohio; and the Butler Museum of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio. Bonnie has also contributed to international projects, including working as an illustrator for the Archaeological Catalog of King Nestor’s Palace in Pylos, Greece.
