Dmitriy Kalyagin
Business Instructor, Department Coordinator
Coming from Russia and Ukraine, I immigrated to the USA in 1994. Before moving to the Bay Area, I lived in Des Moines, Iowa, where I worked as a project manager and export/import coordinator for Compressor Controls Corporation, a subsidiary of Roper Industries, Inc. (listed on NASDAQ as ROP), managing a team of 15 employees across three different countries. I hold a BS in Geography and Biology from Samara State University in Russia, an AS in Business Administration from Des Moines Area Community College (IA), an MBA from Drake University (Des Moines, IA), and an MS in Online Education from CSU East Bay. I have been teaching at Chabot College since 2000. Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of classes, including the first-ever online course offered by the Business Department in 2002. Currently, I also serve as the Business Department Chair. Additionally, I am actively involved in various campus committees, activities, and organizations.
