Ana Gutierrez
Instructor/ECD Lab Coordinator
My name is Ana Araceli Gutierrez. I was born in Mexico and immigrated to the USA more than 20 years ago. My first son inspired me to take parenting classes, volunteer in a co-parenting preschool program and start taking ECD courses at Chabot. I attained a MA in Early Childhood Leadership in 2010. During my journey in the ECD field, I have worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. I have experience as an Early Childhood Program Director, ECD coach, ECD consultant, Parent-Educator, Coordinator for the Spanish Learning Play Groups at the Hayward Public Library, ECD Instructor here at Chabot College. I love to share my experiences and to learn from others. I have a great love and respect for young children and their families. One of my goals in teaching ECD classes is to inspire students to stay in this field, to learn about each child's uniqueness, to create inclusive environments for children and their families, and to connect theory to practice.
