Born and raised in the East Bay, I am a proud Chabot College alum and former WRAC Center tutor! After earning my AA from Chabot, I transferred to UC Berkeley for my BA in English. After I graduated, I started working full-time in the Writing and Reading Across the Curriculum (WRAC) Center at Chabot where I got to help students on their own educational journeys. This work inspired me to go to back to school and earn an MA from CSU Hayward (now CSU East Bay). Right after grad school, in addition to teaching English part-time at Chabot, I was hired as the Instructional Designer for the college. I also completed a certificate in Online Teaching and Learning from Cerro Coso Community College and a statewide certification from the CVC-OEI in Peer Online Course Review (POCR). Now, as a full-time English Instructor, I'm passionate about serving the needs of students through Zero Textbook Cost classes, fully-accessible and equitable courses, and robust academic support services.
