Payment

Payment, except during the first semester, is due at the time of registration. You may use cash, a credit or debit card, a personal check (from a U.S. bank), Money Order or traveler's checks (in U.S. dollars)

It is important for students to bring enough U.S. dollars to pay for the first semester fees, books, medical insurance and the first few months of living expenses (rent, meals etc.)

For your own safety and protection, please remember to safeguard your money, passport and personal belongings.

Nelnet Deferred Payment Plan

To help you meet your education expenses, Chabot College is proud to offer Nelnet as a convenient budget plan. With Nelnet, you can make up to 5 monthly payments and have the funds automatically deducted from your checking account or credit or debit cart. There is a $20 subscriber fee per semester for this service. This is not a loan program. There are no interest or finance charges assessed and there is no credit check. Learn more.

Financial Aid

International students do NOT qualify for financial aid. There are however, several scholarships that are offered annually that International students may qualify for. Please see the Student Life Office for more information.

International Student Employment

International students are allowed to work on campus part-time, however there are very few jobs available. International students are NOT allowed to work off campus without permission from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and only after you have been a student for over 1 year. To work without permission can result in deportation and denial of future entry into the United States.
