Citing Articles from Databases
When you
cite an article from EBSCOhost academic search premier, the ProQuest
Diversity Databases, LexisNexis Academic or other
article databases, you mainly need to do two things.
1.
Cite the periodical article as you would if you find it in print.
2.
Then state what electronic resources you got it from.

According to the MLA
The MLA requires you to state the database (the
actual database, NOT the vendor), the Web identified as format, and
the date the article was retrieved. |

Fritz. "Searching for environmental justice: National stories,

According to the APA
Depending on your instructor's request, The APA requires you to state the
DOI or database name. The example on the right has no DOI
number and the instructor has allowed the student to state the
database (otherwise the student would need to state the
publication's URL). For assistance, contact a librarian. |
