Searching
OneSearch from the Home Page
There are several
options for searching from the OneSearch searchbox. Click on each tab
above and read below what each tab and limiter will do for your
search:

All |
The
"All" tab allows you to search resources in various different
formats. "All Content I Can Access" is the largest spanned
search, allowing you to search the Library Catalog AND most of
the Library's databases. "FullText" allows you to search
most of the Library's databases but NOT the catalog.
"Books & More on Library Shelves" searches just what's in Chabot
Library's catalog. |

Books |
The
"Books" tab allows you to search for the books in OneSearch.
Choose all our books, ebooks only, or print books that are in
the library's physical collection (Library Shelf
books). |

Course
Reserves |
To
find course materials placed on reserve by an instructor.
Click on Print to search by course name, instructor's last name,
or title. To see if the Library has a material online,
click on the eBooks button, then click on a letter for the first
letter of the TITLE of the book (after a, an, the). |

Articles |
Search for articles across most of the Library's databases.
Select "And Peer-Reviewed" to limit to just the scholarly
journal articles. |
|
DVD/Streaming |
Search films, documentaries and other videos by physical DVD,
streaming, or both. |

Subject
Guides |
Enter key words to search the Library's Subject Guides and your
course's library orientation guides as well. |

Laptops/Devices |
See quickly if laptops, camcorders, pocket projectors, or other
devices or equipment are currently available for checkout from
our Audiovisual desk. |
