Where
To check out a book, bring it to the Circulation Desk right in front of you, when entering the main room of the Library. You will need a valid Chabot identification card to check out books.  To check out a DVD, go upstairs to the right side of the Mezzanine. 

How Long
The loan period varies depending on the item. Books in the Stacks are loaned for up to two weeks; periodicals and audio-visual materials for seven days.

Return or Renew
The Circulation Desk is also the place to renew or return books. You can also renew books by going into My Library Account -- we'll show you how to access that feature later in this module.
