NIH Bridges to Baccalaureate Program
The goal of the NIH Bridges to Baccalaureate program is to increase the number of African American, Latino, Native American, and Pacific Islander community college students who transfer to 4 year universities in biomedical science majors. The program is an important part of the NIH effort to diversify the nation’s biomedical science professions.
The NIH Bridges program provides participants with academic advising, tutoring, career and professional development workshops, UC application and essay assistance, and an opportunity to participate in an 8-week, PAID summer research internship in a UC Berkeley lab.
Past UC Berkeley B2B participants have transferred to universities such as UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, and UC San Diego.
